I love my rollers

About Me

Comments:

I am using my aluminum rollers for exercise. For me, the rollers were easy to get used to. They are light weight, fold in half for easy storage and are easy to set up. I received them just a few days after ordering them and they came assembled.

Great rollers let down by poor links ?

About Me

Comments:

Arrived promptly in good condition. However, the "press on" end caps on the two chrome hinges (that link the front and rear roller frames) keep falling off. I have tried banging them back on with a hammer and wait to see how long they stay put. CycleOps - are you aware of this quality problem ?

Good robust rollers but have problem getting replacement belt shipped to Ireland. No one seems to stock spare belt that sells rollers. Can anyone help on this. Won't ship from states for some reason

Great Rollers

About Me

Comments:

These are my first rollers and it took a few tries to get use to riding them. Once you learn, they are more fun to use than a regular trainer. The product itself is well made and the aluminum rollers are well constructed, smooth, and quiet. Set up is very simple and it only takes about a minute. I do wish it had a parabolic shaped roller up front to help you stay on the rollers, but it is not a deal breaker.

Worth the money if you put in the effort

About Me

Comments:

I commute to work 9-10 months of the year, 16 miles round trip (as long as it's not pouring rain or freezing cold). I occasionally ride on the weekends as well. I purchased the aluminum rollers to keep my legs/body in shape for the 2-3 months of the year that it is way too cold or snowy to get on the road. Using the rollers requires full concentration and a 20-30 minute ride is definitely rewarding in terms of the workout provided. There are no rest periods and the rollers teach you to pedal continuously. If you start to get tired or lazy, you will almost certainly lose your balance or go off the side. They take some practice to ride and after using them for a few months I still fall off. They are quieter than exercise bikes or rear-wheel trainers, but they are by no means 'quiet'. Headphones or loud music helps distract you from the squeak of the tires and the fact that you're going absolutely nowhere. I would recommend these to a dedicated cyclist, as they can improve your concentration, balance, and riding form. If you are a casual rider and would just like to use your bike for cardio workouts instead of buying a gym membership, I would recommend going with a fixed trainer instead.

PVC Rollers are all you need

About Me

Comments:

The rollers are great to use for a nice ride when it is cold and icy outside. Easy to set up right out of the box, was rolling in minutes after adjusting the front roller to match my bike. Rollers were missing one of the hinge retainers when I unpacked the box (it was probably lost during shipping). The rollers functioned fine wihtout it, but cycleops shipped another one ASAP free of charge. Great customer service!
