We worked diligently on our next generation of bicycle chain lubricant for several years. Our Micro Resistant Complex Compounds (MRCC) had been in development for over 10 years. Originally developed for our motorsports lubrication, MRCC technology creates a lighter viscosity while maintaining high protection, reducing friction, and increase in creating much higher film strength than common, traditional technology. One of the only bits of maintenance an internally geared hub needs is occasional oiling. Using the proper oil is essential, and, if you have a Shimano Alfine hub, you've found the right stuff. - Mineral oil based lubricant specifically for the Alfine 11-speed hub

An oil change should be annually carried out or at least every 5000km. Through this process, it can be safe to say that there will always be enough oil in the hub regardless of oil loss (due to sweat oil) and that any penetrated water will be rinsed out. For a problem-free oil change, we recommend the use of the Rohloff Oil Change Kit. - Cleaning oil to be used prior to changing all-weather oil on Rohloff Speedhubs - Oil change kit (RH-8410) includes: nipple-to-hub interface, filler tube, injection syringe, cleaning oil, and all-weather oil (25ml ea) - RH8404 is lubricating and cleaning oil only
